Forgiveness, Grace, And Mercy-How To Live Without Fear

We are all sinners, according to the Word of God. When we come into this world, we are born sinners, which is a hard concept to swallow. Why would you be a sinner as a brand new innocent baby? God will show us forgiveness, grace and mercy but even with that you may wonder how to live without fear in your life.

I want to give you a little insight; it is because God gave us free will, and we were born unto this world of light and darkness. He offers us his forgiveness through his grace and mercy. With this, we can know how to live without fear. Let me show you what I am talking about.

Forgiveness

God also promises forgiveness to us for our sins when we come to him in prayer. He promises that we will know how to live without fear because we have eternal life. We are made righteous before his eyes.

1 John 1:9

look to the light forgiveness poem2 How To Live Without Fear

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

There are times that you do something like gossip or have ill thoughts of another, and you know you have sinned. And there are times in your life where you have tried to do everything right. The world is moving on its axis perfectly to suit you. All of life is smooth. By the grace of God are you still a sinner?

Are there times in your life when you get caught up in the world around you and think you haven’t done anything wrong. Or you believe you are justified in the choices you have made. Then something happens, and it all comes tumbling in on you.

You may live a life that is unreproachable. You don’t gossip or have ill thoughts of others or smoke or drink.

And you go to church every time the doors are open for service. But the Bible says you are still a sinner. I know this was hard to hear for me, and you may feel the same way. With the forgiveness and grace of God, there is a way.

1 John 1:8-10

If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and His Word is not in us.

God created us in his image, but he is the only good and perfect being. He allowed us to make choices.

Before God Created Man

A lot of things took place in the heavenly realms before God created mankind. Satan was a beautiful angel who served God. But he too could make choices. He chose to sin and rebel against God.

After God cast Satan to the earth, the Lord made man, but good and evil were already a part of the picture. It is the evil that Satan puts into the hearts of man that causes them to fear. You can know how to live without fear when you turn to God.

angel and devil

So why wouldn’t we be sinners? We were born of both good and evil. We are not always going to make excellent choices.

I am not saying you are evil. I am saying that we all do things, even without thinking that is considered a sin.

How To Live Without Fear

Sins Forgiven

Josephine goes to church every Sunday. She studies hard and doesn’t party. With her busy schedule, she still volunteers at the local shelter every other week.

Josephine is in her junior year of college. She is studying accounting and is in her business class right now. Every time she goes to this class, there is a guy who asks so many questions the professor can’t even get through the course in an hour.

As he raises his hand for the fifth time, she rolls her eyes and thinks to herself, “ Oh My Gosh, when will this idiot stop?” Immediately she feels terrible and is kicking herself for thinking that thought.

Is Josephine a sinner? She is a sinner because the Word says we are all sinners. She tries so hard to be a good person, but these thoughts slip in when she least expects.

Sins Unforgiven

Harry wants to join a gang. He is fifteen years old. He wants to fit in and to do so he has to steal a TV from his neighbor.

When the family is gone, he breaks in and gets their big-screen TV. He is initiated into the gang and so proud of himself. Harry doesn’t think he did anything wrong because the gang is so pleased with his steal and his willingness to be a part of them.

Is Harry a sinner? Yes, he is also a sinner because the Word says we are all sinners. It isn’t what he has done but rather that we all sin in one way or another.

Forgiveness, Grace, And mercy-How to live without fear

What is the difference between Josephine and Harry? There is only one difference; Josephine has accepted Jesus into her heart. She knows that God is faithful to forgive if she asks him. Harry does not know the Lord, so his sin will stay with him.
God is gracious, and he does love his children. He wants more than anything for his people to come to him and know how to live without fear. He wants to forgive.

Psalm 145:8

The LORD is gracious and merciful; Slow to anger and great in loving kindness.

This thought boggles my mind that I can do so many things wrong, and still, God forgives me. The Lord is faithful to cleanse us if we ask. We don’t have to worry or fret over the things we have done. He is a gracious God. But we do have to know his son Jesus and ask for forgiveness.

Forgiveness for You

So if God is so faithful to forgive us, why can’t we forgive ourselves and others. There is nothing in this world that is so bad that we can not forgive another.

You don’t have to let people harm you. But to forgive them does not exonerate them; it gives you peace. It frees you up to live life again with a clear mind. Forgiveness is for you and not for the other person.

It is God’s way of helping you to get past the bad things that have happened in your life or that have happened to you. It is God’s way of telling you how to live without fear and the burden of life.

Mark 11:25

And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

I am a sinner; you are a sinner even when we don’t realize what sins we have committed. But Jesus will forgive us if we go to him in prayer. It is through this forgiveness that we can learn how to live without fear. We don’t have to fear eternal death because we have the promise of salvation.

I wrote this article to show you the grace of God and his forgiveness. I am a firm believer that God draws people to him. It is not my job to shove God down your throat. When the time is right God will show you the way. He abounds in mercy and grace and is faithful to forgive so you will know how to live without fear.

Salvation

When the time comes and you are moved by the Word of God and want to know how to live without fear, it is simple. All you do is confess that Jesus is the Son of God and he will save you from your sins. Does this mean that we will be perfect? No, but it does mean that we have a gracious and merciful God that has given us a choice and he can show us how to live without fear.

It is that easy. So, if you don’t know Jesus, here is the scripture for you. You may not be ready today but if you have read all the way to here you are coming closer to the Lord. Hang onto this word and when the Lord draws you in just kneel anywhere you please and repeat Romans 10:9. One day when you say this simple prayer and let Jesus into your heart you will know how to live without fear. You will know the forgiveness, grace, and mercy of our almighty loving God.

Romans 10:9

Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you have salvation, and Jesus lives in your heart.

God wants his people to know how to live without fear. Does this mean you will never be afraid? No, it doesn’t because we are human and we have emotions. But with salvation and God in your life, you will know who to turn to and when you pray he will hear you and is faithful to answer you.
